Founded and run by an industrial engineer, Acoustic Solid is a family concern based in Germany that manufactures a range of precision-made turntables offering an unbeatable price-performance ratio. Acoustic Solid turntables are built entirely by hand and 'in-house' to incredibly high standards, both mechanically and cosmetically.

The range is extensive, but all the turntables incorporate certain key design principles, such as the use of outboard, string drives to minimise rumble and microprocessor power supplies to minimise speed variation. The decks also feature high-mass platters to keep wow and flutter at near-zero levels and their unique bearings are also produced at the factory to an innovative design that reduces tolerances to near zero. The range also includes a series of three tone arms. Using standard Rega mounting dimensions, these are of extremely high quality and are suitable for upgrading many other turntables. The finish of all the turntables and tone arms bears testament to the pride that goes into the manufacture of all Acoustic Solid products.
