DSPeaker, Antimode 2.0 dual core

DSPeaker Antimode 2.0 digital room correction unit

The speaker-room interaction is typically the most important performance-limiting factor of any high-end audio system. Every listening space introduces errors that can be in the magnitude of a dozen decibels or even more. These errors are most pronounced at the bass and lower midrange regions, where standard, physical acoustic treatment loses its effectiveness. The Antimode Dual Core is the latest generation room correction model from DSPeaker, capable of perfecting the acoustic performance of any full-range stereo audio system. It is based on a new version of a custom-designed software algorithm offering completely automatic correction and has the provision for software updating via a computer. The anti-mode 2 also incorporates a high-quality DAC, supporting USB connection and offering DSP buffering, filtering and oversampling to 6144 kHz. The unit has extensively customisable options, including house curve design tool, linear-phase full spectrum tilt and several parametric EQs. Connectivity includes balanced inputs and outputs. Straightforward to setup and use, the anti-mode 2.0 has an in-built graphical interface, and comes with a full remote control. It is normally used between pre and power amplifiers, but can be placed in the signal line of integrated units with tape in and out capability or used as a standalone DAC and pre-amp, as the remote offers volume control. The unit is supplied with the remote, a separate power supply, USB lead and a highly linear calibration microphone.
